Hello!

Today marks my husband and I’s 72 days of marriage. Nothing special with the number I just thought it’s fancy counting the actual days LOL.

Ours is common as long distance relationships go. We got married then lived apart in different countries 18 days after. We were living with my in laws then and since my husband won’t be there, I decided to go back to my parents’ house until our condo unit is turned over. Some of my coworkers were jesting that it was a bit too early for my husband to return me to my parents, a common Filipino saying “Binalik ka na agad sa nanay mo.” Haha. I am trying to think of things that changed since we got married but it was not much except for the fact that I now have a new set of family and I can stay in two homes.

However, I felt change when my husband left the country. Before we got married, we schedule Saturdays as date nights since we don’t really see each other during weekdays because of our different work schedules. The first weekend after he left, I didn’t notice because I had errands to attend to. The second weekend was… well weird. I realized I didn’t know how to spend my Saturday since our weekly routine was broken. I didn’t know what happened but looking at weekends now months after, I didn’t felt like going out on Saturdays anymore and instead met with my friends during weeknights. It’s not so bad after all. I’m not sure if it’s just a routine change or I’m really turning into a certified tita. LOL. I do have upcoming Saturday stints to count as a break to my indoor tambay Saturdays. Come to think of it, because of that routine break, I was able to more spend time with my family (immediate and in-laws), not just on Sundays. Something good came out of it. 🙂

Anyway, this was supposed to be an intro blog and I’ve been doing so much word vomit. I haven’t decided what it would contain so I guess it’s going to be about my journey through married life (?). Let’s see how this goes.
